I am new to this site. I see that it has not been used for some time. It would be nice to get it going again.

Gardening is one of the greatest pleasures that we can experience. Summer flowering plants are so beautiful right now. I enjoyed a stroll through my vegetable garden and sitting out by my flowers this afternoon. It was so relaxing!

I don't really care about Daylight Savings Time.
It really just bores me in the snooze and I have to get up early anyway.
Like around 5:30-ish

 Poem Of The Month
« Result #3 on Apr 8, 2005, 3:54pm »

The way I will decied Poem Of The Month is simple. I see what poems get the most good reveiws and put them in a poll here, and then all the members vote for which poem they liked best. And on the first of the month I will count up the votes and post the winner. Along with second place.
Good luck to everyone :D

 Daylight Saving Time

Personally I don't like daylight saving time. It really serves no purpose. And you never can tell what time it is because your so used to it being a hour early, and you end up being late for everything.
Thats my ohpinion whats yours?

Quote:

Swirling Wind,

Chirping Birds,

Sounds indescribable for words,

Swirling wind, (No cap)
Chirping birds; (semicolon and no cap)
These are sounds simply indescribable in words. (rewording)

Sitting lakes,
Rustling trees,
And sweet honey made from bees.

Soft earth,
Light air,
Both more beautiful than a chestnut mare. (period and extra word)

Golden water,
Fun guests, (Change this line...It disrupts your flow)
More fragile than a birds nest.

God gifts are all good
But the gift of life
Is definitly the best. (rewording on last three lines)

Okay...I thought that this was okay. I personally dislike rhyming poems, but it was okay. Notice that I changed the wording and seperated it into stanzas. Don't skip lines either. This sounded to me line a list of thoughts instead of a poem. It didn't touch my emotions at all. I would make it more personal and have it include emotions for the reader.

« Result #7 on Apr 6, 2005, 7:38pm »

This is how I and the mods will decied member of the month:

1# You have to follow ALL the rules, of course.

2# You must be active, when I say active I mean you've posted in the last week.

3# You give good critisum and alot of it.

4# You always welcome new members (which for a while their might not be alot of new members ;))

Then me and the mods will nominate who we want to be MOM, whoever gets the most nomines wins.

I will post the member of the month in the Member Of The Month page on the website on the first of the month. Their will be no MOM for April, but their will be a MOM for May.
